(Taipei, Taiwan) March 22, 2012)-- AAEON has launched an 8.4"
heavy-duty touch display: FOX-81D. This industrial display has an operating
temperature from 0-50 Degrees Celsius and a storage temperature from -20-70
Degrees Celsius to persist through rugged environments. It supports VESA 75
mounts for optimal display options and encompasses an anti-fog design, combined
with optical bonding technology.
The FOX-81D is an IP-65 certified
display with an aluminum housing system. It supports a 5-wire resistive touch
screen and is sunlight readable with a high quality LCD screen (TFT). The end
user can transfer images or data from any type of PC via VGA. Its Power Supply
is 9-30V DC. It showcases Brightness, Contrast, Phase, Sharpness, AutoTune and
H/V- position for the On Screen Display Controls. Moreover, the FOX-81D uses the
M12 water proof connector type for the power, VGA and USB function.
"The
FOX-81D offers Windows® XP Professional, Windows® 7 and Linux kernel 2.6.3 for
inclusive support with the most common operating systems. This touch display
features the utmost rugged design, and is built to last through robust
environments." Says Lee Lee, Product Manager of AAEON's Panel Appliance and
Automation division. "As an industrial display, the FOX-81D protects from shock
and vibration, which makes it ideal for Marine, Lumber, Heavy-Duty Vehicle and
Automation markets.

(Taipei, Taiwan) March 9, 2012—AAEON, a leading industrial PC manufacturer,
announced today the release of GENE-CV05, a new fanless 3.5" embedded board with
Intel® Atom™ D2700/N2800/N2600 processor and Intel® NM10 chipset for space
constrained applications. Coming in at around 10 watts of power using the N2000
series, GENE-CV05 is a new eco-friendly embedded board.
When equipped
with the D2700/N2800 processors, the GENE-CV05 supports up to 4GB in a DDR3
SODIMM, while the N2600 processor can support a DDR3 SODIMM with a maximum of 2
GB of memory. GENE-CV05 has a CFast™ interface and one SATA 2.0 port for
operating system and storage, along with two Gigabit LAN ports for optimum
network connectivity. Multiple I/O ports, including six COM ports, six USB2.0
ports, 8-bit Digital I/O, and one PCI Express Mini Card with a SIM slot enables
the GENE-CV05 to meet the demands of a wide variety of markets and
applications.
"AAEON's GENE-CV05 has dual LVDS interfaces and DVI that
can work simultaneously with one of the LVDS interfaces for graphics support,
along with added display capabilities for full HD application," affirms Eric
Wang, Product Manager of AAEON's Embedded Computing Division. "As the first
generation of Atom™ processors to have integrated HDMI/DVI for high graphics
performance and HD decoder, the Intel® Atom™ - processor N2000 and D2000 series
exhibit 4x the graphics performance compared to the previous generation. Couple
this with the onboard Resistive Touchscreen interface, and the GENE-CV05 is the
perfect solution for Digital Signage, Gaming, Industrial Automation and Medical
vertical markets."
Because the GENE-CV05 has a longer MTBF than previous
offerings, and supports fanless operation with the N2000 series, this embedded
board has an extended longevity. The board also supports the latest embedded and
commercially-available operating systems to get the most and the best from this
high performance Atom platform. For more product information, please visit www.aaeon.com or contact your regional AAEON

The
COM-TC comes equipped with the IntelR EG20T I/O controller hub and a Realtek
RTL8211CL Gigabit Ethernet to meet communications and networking requirements.
COM-TC has onboard system memory (DDR2 up to 2GB), eliminating the need to add a
memory module, providing a more cost effective and rugged solution. For storage
options, COM-TC offers two SATA 3.0 Gb/s ports, one PATA and an optional onboard
SSD. The onboard SSD furthers the simplification, cost reduction and ruggedness
of the system design by eliminating the need to add storage media to the system.
Moreover, seven USB2.0 ports are supported to allow flexibility in the use of
external devices and peripherals. In addition, there is a 4-bit SDIO as well as
two PCI-Express [x1], one LPC Bus and one SMBus interface for I/O and expansion
on the carrier board. The integrated graphics controller supports LVDS/SDVO
independent display and includes 2D and 3D acceleration in addition to video
MPEG4, H.264 and H.263 decode and encode.
"Product developers can use
AAEON's COMS (Computer on Module Services) as well as DTD (Design to Delivery)
services to design custom carrier boards and shorten time-to-market for their
products. AAEON offers multiple phases and support options for COMS." says
Louise Hsu, Product Manager of AAEON's COM Division. "Furthermore, OEM/ODM users
are able to use COM-TC with customized carrier boards for developing
applications such as Digital Signage, Medical and Transportation."
