The EMB-CV1 comes with two DDR3 800/1066 SODIMM slots to support a maximum of 4 GB of memory. Equipped with four RS-232 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port, six USB2.0 ports (four onboard type A connectors and two 5x2 pin headers), one Line-in/Line-out/Mic port as well as one Keyboard/Mouse port, the EMB-CV1 is ready to go, right out of the box. If additional expansion is required, the board comes with both a PCI-Express slot and one PCI-Express Mini card slot. “Industrial application asks for stable data transmission through COM ports. With five COM ports and 6 USB2.0 ports, EMB-CV1 is ideal for industrial applications in need of stable and flexible I/O connections,” said Randy Chang, Product Manager of AAEON’s Industrial Systems Division. “As it features the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3650 chipset, EMB-CV1 is also good for entry-level POS and Digital Signage applications. Moreover, this fanless board has anti-shock and anti-vibration properties, which is great for In-Vehicle devices with displays. Furthermore, its half-sized Mini PCIe slot supports wireless module expansion for wireless data transmission,” added Randy.
