AAEON NEWS - March 2013 -AAEON unveils FSB-B75G, Full-Size PICMG 1.0 SBC with Intel® 3rd Generation Core™ i7/i5/i3 Processor and B75 Chipset for enhanced performance in increasingly complex industrial applications



AAEON, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, today announced the FSB-B75G, an Intel® 3rd Generation Core™ i7/i5/i3 LGA1155 socket PICMG 1.0 full-size Single Board Computer (SBC) with onboard Intel® B75 chipset.  Utilizing PICMG 1.0, ensures compatibility with legacy ISA and PCI interfaces, while the Intel® B75 Chipset and 3rd Generation CoreTM processor utilize less power and enhanced graphics performance over previous generations.  A major benefit of the FSB-B75G’s design is that it offers a high level of system failure resistance and is ideally suited for the increasingly complex demands of industrial automation applications, banking and more.  As a single plug-in card for modular systems, maintenance and component replacements are made easy with the added benefit of reduced  down time.
Combined with multiple USB and SATA storage connectors and supporting up to 16GB of DDR3 1333/1600 of system memory and an optional onboard CFast™ slot, the FSB-B75G offers a powerful solution for system integrators. This PICMG 1.0 full-size SBC provides superb features in a form factor that allows for easy system configuration and expansion.  This makes the FSB-B75G an excellent choice for applications requiring embedded systems with optimal performance and high tolerance.  Operating temperature for the FSB-B75G is 00C to 600C.
In addition to its powerful Intel® Processor, the FSB-B75G hosts a wide range of I/O interfaces, with two Ethernet ports and one VGA port with resolution support of up to 2048x1536.  With Intel® B75 integrated HD Graphics, the FSB-B75G readily handles complex and intense 2D/3D graphic demands without the need for an additional graphics card, enabling operation managers to have high definition visuals.  Also offered are one SATA 6.0Gb/s and two SATA 3.0Gb/s, two serial ports, one parallel port with SPP/EPP/ECP modes, four USB3.0 and six USB2.0, one 8-bit programmable digital I/O, one PS/2 pin header and one optional CFast™ slot.

Hardware status monitoring, and a programmable Watchdog Timer with 1 to 255 steps in addition to the Wake-on-LAN function ensures the security and reliability of this SBC.  For optional audio capability, a High Definition Audio Codec daughter board (PER-U01H) can be added to provide robust audio features.

Axiomtek eBOX623-831-FL, Intel® Atom™ Cedarview Fanless Embedded System with Optimized Power Efficiency, Graphics Capability and Dual View Support

Axiomtek ultra low-power fanless embedded system with Intel® Cedar Trail platform and dual display interfaces, the eBOX623-831-FL, is available now!  It provides advanced graphics processing capability via the new dual core Intel® Atom™ Cedarview processor N2600 at 1.6 GHz or D2550 1.86 GHz in 45nm technology with Intel® NM10 Express chipset.  This slim yet compact embedded system supports system memory of one 204-pin DDR3 800 MHz maximum up to 2 GB with N2500 and DDR3 1066/1333 MHz maximum up to 4 GB with D2550.  By adopting the new Intel® Cedar Trail platform, fanless eBOX623-831-FL boosts graphics performance and power efficiency.  With the optimized graphics capability and dual view support (VGA and DisplayPort), the rugged unit is an ideal fit for automatic optical inspection, digital signage appliance (DSA), POS/Kiosk, embedded controller, factory automation and more applications.

QNAP Turbo NAS Supports VMware VAAI and vSphere Client Plug-in, Windows Server 2012, and Enhances AFP Performance
QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced highly anticipated business features, including VMware VAAI and vSphere Client Plug-in for business virtualization enhancement, the official certification for Windows® Server 2012, and AFP performance enhancement on small file transfer.

The support of VMware VAAI, featuring Full copy, Block zeroing and Hardware-assisted locking, enables data processing offloaded to the Turbo NAS to increase work efficiency. The support of vSphere Client Plug-in allows managing VMware datastores on the Turbo NAS directly from the vSphere Client console, greatly improving productivity of management of multiple virtual machines. “With these supports, the Turbo NAS becomes a more effective storage in virtualization solution and excels in increasing productivity on managing a great number of virtual machines for IT staffs,” said Jérôme Jaussaud, product manager of QNAP. QNAP presented a powerful 400 TB NAS Solution for virtualization combining its high-end Turbo NAS TS-x79U series with new additions of REXP-1200U-RP and REXP-1600U-RP. It provides a flexible solution for IT administrators to expand the total capacity of the Turbo NAS up to 400TB.
